Perched Kingfisher

Kingfishers are known to be elusive, to spot one takes time and patience. I was lucky enough to come across three when walking along the river Wnion outside my home in Dolgellau in Wales. They had been diving for food and flashed up and down just inches from the water, never to be forgotten with their beautiful iridescent feathers.
