Lone Tree

The now redundant slate quarry at Dinorwic is large scale and the impact on the environment long lasting. But somehow nature finds a way. Seemingly against all odds, lone trees like this one can be seen amongst soil heaps of slate that cover the area. An intriguing view the tree balances on the cliff edge beckoning the wildlife to return and hang out in its branches.
